i am going to compare college magazine and lewisham college magazines and show the similarities and differences between them.my first magazine :
the college magazine have used student life for the front cover of the magazine. the camera shot is a medium close up of a student with simple clothing, the red t-shirt she is wearing matches with the title college as they have used the same colour so the magazine flows from the title to the image.they have also made the picture of the student clear but the background is out of focus they have done this as the main subject of the magazine is the student and the background you can see but isant the main focus of what the magazine is talking about.
I- the magazine is called college which is simple and easy to understand and its also made by an american college.the magazine looks like it has been made by the college students as it deals with student situations such as smoking and drinking.
I-the headlines on the magazine relate to the teenage life and are all relatable to students at the college, it is also showing awareness to the students as it talks about underage pregnancy and smoking.
A- the audience the magazine is directed at is college students and is showing the college life to the students looking at the cover it looks like it is mostly aimed at the girls of the college other than the boys.
R- the magazine is representing the college and showing how important it is as the girl on the front looks confident and happy which reflects on the college, the image is portrayed as a sporty person as she has a sporty type t-shirt on this shows her commitment to the college.
